Work Hours and Timesheet Calculator

Weekly timesheet

Enter one shift per day. Blank days are ignored. An earlier end time automatically crosses midnight; for equal times, check End is next day for a 24-hour shift. All durations must be at most 24 hours.

Pay uses the same currency units as your rate. It is gross pay before taxes or deductions, not a payroll or legal-compliance calculation.

Please enter all values to see results.

Overtime uses your weekly threshold only; daily overtime, holidays and jurisdiction rules are not applied. Durations use clock minutes, not timezone-aware elapsed time, so daylight-saving changes are not included. No rounding is applied to worked minutes; decimal hours are rounded for display only.

How it works

Enter daily start and end times and unpaid break minutes. Net minutes equal shift duration minus breaks. The weekly total is split into regular and overtime minutes using your threshold, default 40 hours. If a rate is provided, gross pay=regular hours×rate+overtime hours×rate×multiplier\text{gross pay} = \text{regular hours} \times \text{rate} + \text{overtime hours} \times \text{rate} \times \text{multiplier}. Use Copy Monday to Tue–Fri only when those shifts are the same: it replaces Tuesday–Friday entries. CSV downloads include entered days and totals. No timesheet is saved automatically.

Example

Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:30 with a 30-minute unpaid break each day gives 40 working hours. With a 35-hour overtime threshold and rate of 20 at 1.5× overtime, estimated gross pay is 850 in the rate’s currency units.

Frequently asked questions

Can this calculate overnight shifts?

Yes. An end earlier than the start is automatically treated as the next day. For a full 24-hour shift with equal start and end times, check End is next day. Unchecked equal times mean zero duration.

Does it apply my country’s overtime laws?

No. It is a configurable weekly estimate, not a legal payroll system. Set the threshold and multiplier to your situation, and verify daily overtime, holiday rules, taxes and employer policies separately.
