How it works
Choose a length and character groups, optionally remove look-alike or disallowed characters, and generate up to 20 passwords. Browser Web Crypto supplies the randomness. Rejection sampling avoids biased character selection and ensures every selected group is present. Changing settings clears previous results; reset or reload discards them. Nothing is uploaded, saved or put into a share URL.
Example
For a website that disallows symbols, turn Symbols off and generate a 20-character password using uppercase, lowercase and digits. For manual entry, enable the look-alike exclusion.
Frequently asked questions
Are generated passwords stored or sent to a server?
No. Generation happens on your device, and the tool does not persist passwords, log them or include them in share links. Your clipboard or password manager may store them after you copy.
What makes a password stronger?
Long, randomly generated and unique passwords resist guessing better than short or reused passwords. Use a different password for every account and enable multi-factor authentication. Character exclusions reduce the available pool.
