Stopwatch
Elapsed time
Hours : minutes : seconds . hundredths
Ready
Keep this page open. Resetting or reloading clears the time and laps.
Lap times
Start the stopwatch and select Lap to record a split.
How it works
Select Start to begin timing. Use Lap to record an interval without stopping. Pause stops timing; Resume continues from the same total, excluding the pause. Reset stops the stopwatch and clears all laps. The newest lap appears first, and you can copy the table.
Example
Record a lap after 30 seconds, then another after 45 seconds total. The lap times are 30 seconds and 15 seconds.
Frequently asked questions
Does it keep timing in another tab?
Yes, while this page remains open. The display catches up using elapsed timestamps when you return, even if the browser slows background updates. Closing or reloading the page clears the stopwatch.
What is the difference between lap and total time?
Lap time measures the interval since the previous lap, or since Start for the first lap. Total time is the accumulated running time at that lap. Both exclude time spent paused. Hundredths are display precision, not a guarantee of measurement accuracy.
